World-class martial arts

Sensei Tanaka received the prestigious "Official of the Year in Karate" Award from the United States Olympic Committee/USA Karate at the National Championship in Arlington, TX, on July 17, 2011. Sensei Tanaka was appointed as Chairman of the USA National Karate-Do Federation (USANKF)/ USA Karate Technical Committee in July 2015. This position is reserved for only the most knowledgeable and capable karate instructors in the country and responsible for all aspects of Karate grading under USA Karate/ USANKF

As the head of the Technical Committee, Sensei Tanaka leads and guides the committee in Karate-Do's educational development for the United States. Sensei Tanaka has served as one of the USA referee committee members from 1993 until 2015 and taught and trained thousands of referees in the USA and worldwide. He was the former Referee Committee member of the Pan American Karate Federation (37 countries) and the World Karate Federation (188 countries) Referee Committees.
